what ive been up to for a bit

yesterday i was standing outside smoking a cigarette. a man was starring off into the distance above the skyline of the city. i asked what he was doing. he was watching a balloon he had released. he made the most profound portion of my day. i wish more people could be like this man from new mexico.

this was one of the more commonly suggested things in rhode island. more so than land marks, music, art, food etc. mind you i saw why very quickly. in more than one sense. i suppose i should say i stopped seeing why in another sense…

i try not to let my thoughts get the best of me in this season. it would be such a terrible waste of it.

so staying for brown bird was the right decision. i ran into an old friend from providence. he came to the show with his group. brown bird actually exchanged some contact information with them, they may possibly play a residence gig in providence. ive had a blast with erik dave and quinn. tomorrow to top it all off, not only do i still get to leave town, but i get to leave the state. my ride goes all the way to providence, one stop to let cody off in mass. fate has a funny way of saying thank you.
